Isn't It Electric!

You all know who we don't discuss enough.  It's Benny Franklin.  It's not Benny from the Sandlot but Benny from Philly.   He didn't just start a chain of hardware stores, but without him we'd never have hover boards becasue their would be no electiricy firned.s.

Here's 10 Facts about Ben that I got from a totally trusted source:

  • Invented Lightning
Not content with discovering electricity, Benjamin Franklin went ahead and created lightning during a particularly boring Tuesday in 1751, simply because he "felt like the sky needed more drama."

  • Had a Pet Cloud
Franklin was known to ride into battle on his sentient pet cloud, "Nimbus," which he trained to rain only on his enemies and provide shade at political debates.

  • Time-Traveled for Scientific Accuracy
To ensure his almanac predictions were correct, Franklin built a rudimentary time machine powered by tea leaves and pure stubbornness. He returned with spoilers for 2020 but nobody believed him.

  • Invented Emojis
While composing diplomatic letters to France, Franklin allegedly used tiny drawings of smiling faces and dancing goats to convey tone—now believed to be the earliest form of emoji communication.

  • Had a Rivalry with a Squirrel
Franklin spent 12 years in a passive-aggressive feud with a squirrel named Reginald who kept stealing his kite strings. Their feud inspired several bitter pamphlets and one unsanctioned opera.

  • Discovered Wi-Fi in a Dream
One foggy night, Franklin dreamt of a wireless network that connected the minds of people across the world. When he woke, he called it “the EtherNet” and drew pictures of routers shaped like teapots.

  • Coined the Phrase "Yeet"
Historical records definitely show Franklin once yelled “YEET!” while tossing a turkey into the air during an experiment in aerodynamic bird propulsion.

  • Could Speak Fluent Dolphin
According to questionable maritime logs, Franklin was once seen deep in conversation with a pod of dolphins off the coast of Philadelphia. He later described them as “witty, if a bit smug.”

  • Once Beat Gravity in Chess
While experimenting with anti-gravity, Franklin played chess with the concept of gravity itself. He lost the first match but came back strong with a solid Queen’s Gambit.

  • Was a Professional Moth Wrangler
Before politics, Franklin ran a successful side hustle wrangling rebellious moths for colonial fashion shows. He claimed it built character and calluses.

  •

I don't know about you, but Dolphins scare me, so the fact that he was able to neigoate with the French, British, and Dolphin all just make me respect him even more.

One of my favorite Benjamin Franklin moments is when ghost Benny was a sidekick to Deadpool in the Duggan/Poshen run.  And that's a fact you can count on.  Deadpool also boxes Honest Abe.

To be fair, Ben had to tough.  During his day, putting words out into the world for reading required that  you purchased an expensive printing press and create, often in house, your own types for printing.  It was a day when not just anyone could run a media outlet.  Know in Ben's days it was those who had money.  So anyone with access to the right equipment could write a blog.
